Where's the construction officially recommended for 3200 units of social housing?

The Citywide Housing Coalition wants VANOC and government to build 3200 units of low income housing, raise welfare rates by at least 50%, and end the barriers that keep people in need from getting on welfare.

Come to our action and music-packed event to see how support for these measures has grown across the city.

See: The courtroom/gallows drama, "My Crime: Being Homeless in a World Class City"
A groundbreaking ceremony for building 3200 social housing units: still needed and still possible

Hear: A homeless person speak about homelessness

Inspirational songs by the people's choir, "Solidarity Notes Choir"

Learn: How business, government and community reps want Olympic housing commitments kept;
Which are the over 100 groups that have endorsed these recommendations for housing action;
How the Vancouver Olympics could be the first in decades to house the homeless, not hide or jail them.

Where: At Vancouver Art Gallery

Sponsored by the Citywide Housing Coalition.
